*Karen Dvorak is an award-winning photographer who captures the creations of her imagination on film. Karen grew up riding horses with her friends through the fields and hills surrounding her home and listening to her grandparents tell stories of their life during the early days of horse and buggy. Her photographs recapture this sense of the past so deeply a part of her life. Karen collects antiques, many of which appear in her photographs. She often uses a horse carriage from the 1800’s as a backdrop or photographs children at play on the swings in the pine trees or in an old Model A car. Karen carefully hand-tints each photograph, creating a romantic, special feeling for each timeless image she creates.
